Dr. Julia Martin resigns as Medical Director of
Kentucky ITLS
After 13years of dedicated service to Kentucky ITLS, Dr. Julia Martin
announced she was stepping down as chapter medical director.  Dr.
Martin stated she has truly enjoyed the past 13 years and was proud of
the advances in patient care that have come about in that time period.

Dr. Martin sited increased demands for her time as one of the reasons for
stepping down.  “Even though I have enjoyed working with ITLS I feel that
it is time for someone to take over and lead the program in a new
direction,” stated Dr. Martin.  “I’ve been thinking of stepping down for
some time and think now is the right time to do so,” she added.

“I contacted the ACEP office and have received approval for Dr. Craig
Carter to assume the position.  I know he will do a great job and will have
new insight and ideas to bring to the program.”  Dr. Martin explained that
she would assist Dr. Carter over the next few months to ensure a smooth
transition.

The Kentucky ITLS community wishes to thank Dr. Martin for her
dedication and service and for making the program what it is today.  We
also wish her the best in all her future endeavors.
